For the first time during this campaign for the UP assembly elections, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was seen along with her mother and Congress President Sonia Gandhi during an election meeting in Raebareli, the Parliament constituency of Sonia Gandhi.
Priyanka Gandhi, who struck an emotional chord with the people of Raebareli in her brief and interactive address, said, “This not the time to give a long speech and I am not going to do so.”
She continued, “But today my mother has come here. Being her daughter and also being your daughter, I want to tell one thing to my mother. The people from Harchandpur, Bachchrawa, Sareni, Unchahar and Sadar (Raebareli) have assembled. The Congress workers who have been putting all their hard work with me are also here. I want to tell you on behalf of me as well as my fellow workers that a fresh beginning of a refined politics, development and future is going to take place from this land of Indira Ji”.
“By winning all the five assembly seats in Raebareli, the people will show the entire Uttar Pradesh that the Congress paves the way towards the brightness of development and progress as well as to come out of the darkness of corruption and anarchy,” she added.
